MATTHEW 28:19-20


THEREFORE, GO AND MAKE DISCIPLES OF ALL NATIONS, BAPTIZING THEM IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER AND OF THE SON AND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, AND TEACHING THEM TO OBEY EVERYTHING I HAVE COMMANDED YOU. AND SURELY, I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, TO THE VERY END OF THE AGE.


WHO IS A DISCIPLE?


A DEDICATED FOLLOWER OF JESUS, WHO ACTIVELY SEEKS TO GROW IN THEIR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD AND HELPS OTHERS DO THE SAME. THAT’S YOU AND ME. 


WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF DISCIPLESHIP?  


AFTER HIS RESURRECTION AND BEFORE ASCENDING TO HEAVEN, JESUS ISSUED THE GREAT COMMISSION—A CALL TO “GO.” THIS COMMAND EMPHASIZES NOT JUST MOVEMENT BUT ALSO ACTION. JESUS INTENDED FOR HIS DISCIPLES TO UNDERSTAND THAT RECEIVING HIS TEACHINGS WASN'T A REASON TO BE COMPLACENT; RATHER, IT WAS CRUCIAL FOR THEM TO SHARE THE GOOD NEWS OF HIS MESSAGE WITH OTHERS.

THIS great commission remains vital today, perhaps more than ever. the world needs the light of jesus, and it is our responsibility to answer that call and go.

RELY ON GOD

Choose Prayer Over Worry

Have you ever needed an answer, direction, or a move from God, but everything seemed to be moving slowly—or not moving at all? During seasons of waiting, anxiety and stress can easily creep in. Yet worrying does not change the situation; it only changes how we experience the wait.


When life feels uncertain, we can find peace and reassurance in the Word of God.


Philippians 4:6 reminds us:

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
King James Version (KJV)


We have a choice: we can allow our circumstances to control our thoughts and emotions, or we can trust the truth of God’s Word. Second Corinthians 5:7 declares, “For we live by believing and not by seeing.”

Do not allow stress to control you. Stand firmly on God’s promises and allow His Word to guide you:


“Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.”
—Psalm 119:105 (NLT)


You do not have to go back and forth between faith and fear. Ask God for help, allow Him to lead you, and follow His direction. Even while you are waiting, you can rest in knowing that God is present, faithful, and working on your behalf.

Let Us Pray

Father, thank You for being our ever-present help and the source of every answer we need. We acknowledge that we cannot consistently overcome life’s challenges in our own strength, but with You, we can overcome every obstacle.

Help us to hear Your voice, obey Your instructions, and trust that Your ways and thoughts are higher than ours. Thank You for Your love, protection, guidance, and unfailing presence. In Jesus’ name, amen.
